The Pharaoh’s Favourite Periwinkle Pot by SITAL𓅓𓃠
The Egyptian Revival Mystery 🏺🔍
During the late 60s and 70s, the world went "mummy-mad" for Egyptian art! Italian company Sital decided to deck out their high-quality enamelware in Hieroglyphics, stylized Ibis birds, and Pharaoh-inspired motifs. 𓅓𓃠 Looking at this pot is like peering into a periwinkle pyramid—only instead of ancient treasures, it usually holds a very stylish stew.
🏺🔍 This pot has a very fancy pedigree! It was designed by the talented Carla Agnelli specifically for the legendary British-based celebrity chef Robert Carrier. He wanted cookware that was "table-ready," meaning it could go straight from the stove to a glamorous dinner party without skipping a beat.
🌌✨The colour is a bold periwinkle blue that mimics "Egyptian Blue"—the first synthetic pigment in history!
🌌✨ The bold black ink designs of Egyptian figures and animals keep watch over your dinner :)
🌌✨ The heavy-duty Italian enameled steel, is built to last longer than a pyramid (well, almost!)
🌌✨ If you peek at the bottom, you will see the word "Depositata." That’s Italian for "Registered Design." It was Sital’s way of saying, "Don't even think about copying our Egyptian vibes—these are exclusive!"
💙Pro Tip💙
While this pot is "Tomb-Tested," the enamel can still chip if dropped. Treat it like a priceless artifact from the Valley of the Kings, and it will keep your kitchen looking like a museum for years to come.
There are some small scratches on the bottom from cooking.
All items are in vintage and antique preloved condition. Some minor surface scratches may be present. I do my best to note and photograph any wear. Please contact me with any further questions :)
