The Egyptian Obelisk Crystal Perfume Bottle
 
A miniature crystal monument from the glamour-soaked world of Art Deco.
Dating to the 1920s–1930s, this extraordinary perfume bottle takes its form from an Egyptian obelisk. Its tall, architectural stopper rises dramatically above a heavily faceted crystal body, creating a silhouette that is unmistakably Art Deco.
 
The fascination with Ancient Egypt swept through fashion and decorative arts during the 1920s, bringing pyramids, scarabs, lotus flowers and soaring obelisks into some of the era’s most glamorous designs. Here, that influence has been transformed into something wonderfully decadent for the dressing table.
 
The bottle itself is beautifully cut in a repeating diamond pattern. Light travels through its deep geometric facets, giving the crystal an incredible sparkle from every angle.
 
A Little Egyptian Magic
 
The magnificent original ground-glass stopper is the star of the piece. Tall and beautifully architectural, it resembles a miniature Egyptian obelisk rising from the crystal below.
 
Its strong geometry is echoed throughout the bottle, from the angular shoulders to the deeply cut diamond pattern across the glass. Together they create a piece that feels sculptural, glamorous and wonderfully theatrical.
 
The bottle is attributed to the Bohemian glass makers.

Condition and Character
 
This perfume bottle is in beautiful vintage condition. The bottle itself is exceptionally well preserved, with its crisp, light-catching facets remaining beautifully intact.
The original ground-glass stopper fits well and remains fully intact. There are some tiny nibbles to the underside where the stopper sits inside the neck, along with a faint internal stress line at its base. These details are not visible when the stopper is in place and do not detract from its beautiful overall presentation.
